Peace of Mind

level: higher is better

Peace of Mind is the absence of jealous anxiety and the need to control: your partner's separate life — their evenings, their social circle, their privacy — doesn't knock you off balance. It's a reversed scale: the questions measure signs of jealousy, while the public score shows their absence.

Inside the methodology this scale is called 'Jealousy' and measures jealous anxiety: the need to know where your partner is and who they're with, tension over their closeness with people who could in theory matter to them, the temptation to peek into someone else's messages. What's shown publicly is the mirrored score — Peace of Mind: the fewer such signs, the higher it is.

It's built this way so that a high score means the same thing everywhere in the report — the well-being pole. The word 'jealousy' is a construct label used for the calculations, not a judgment of a person.

The objection 'both are jealous — so they're compatible' is one the methodology deliberately rejects: mutual control is a configuration of heightened tension, not of agreement, which is why this stays a level scale rather than a match scale.

How LoveScore measures it

This is LoveScore's only reversed scale. Each partner's answers are first combined into a 'jealous anxiety' score, which is then inverted: the public Peace of Mind score is 100 minus the raw value. The inversion happens before the couple's scores are combined; from there the scale works like a regular 'level': higher is better, with extra weight on the less calm partner.

The wording of the test questions isn't published here: questions read in advance skew the answers — and with them, the couple's report.
