Privacy Policy
In effect since 27 July 2026 (revision C1.1; previous revision: 23 July 2026)
This is a translation. The Russian text is the one that counts.
We publish this Policy in English so that you can read what happens to your data. It is a convenience translation, not a separate document: the legally binding text is the Russian original, and wherever the two differ, the Russian wording applies. You can read it here — Политика конфиденциальности (in Russian).
What changed on 27 July 2026
We stopped asking for and storing dates of birth (age is now confirmed only by ticking “I am 18 or older”) and removed email from the questionnaire — you can now leave one if you want to, after the test, on your report page. We separately clarified that when you pay for Premium the payer's email is passed to the payment provider for the invoice and the receipt, and we rewrote the “Your rights” section around the fact that most users have no address on file.
This Policy describes what data the operator of the LoveScore service (the “Operator”, “we”) collects, why it is needed, how it is stored and what rights you have as a user. We deliberately collect a minimum of data: the service has no accounts, no passwords and no social profiles.
1. What data we collect and why
- Name (optional, up to 24 characters) — so that we can address you during the test and in the report. You can enter any name or a pseudonym.
- Gender (optional) — so that the report text is worded correctly.
- Age confirmation — before starting the test you tick “I am 18 or older”. We store only the fact of that confirmation and its date. We do not ask for and do not store your date of birth or your age.
- Email (optional) — not asked for in the questionnaire: you can leave one only after taking the test, on your report page. It is needed to restore access to your result if you lose the link, for service emails (a reminder that your partner has not taken the test yet; a notice that the full report is ready) and — if you buy Premium — to issue the invoice and the receipt: the payer's address is passed to the payment provider (see section 5). Without an email, your report stays reachable only through your personal link, and there will be nothing to restore it with. For lookups, the address is stored as a cryptographic hash, and so that emails can be sent — in encrypted form; it is not kept in the database in plain text. We do not verify the address with a confirmation email, so if the same address ends up used in different couples, recovery by that address will not work for anyone — access stays with the personal link.
- Answers to the 47 test questions — this is the basis from which the compatibility report is built.
- Technical logs — IP address, browser type, request times and service events. They are needed for security, for diagnosing failures and for protection against abuse.
We do not ask for your surname, phone number, postal address, identity documents or payment details. Payment takes place on the side of the payment providers.
2. Legal basis for processing
We process data on the basis of your consent, which you give by starting the test and providing your data. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by sending a request to delete your data (see “Your rights”). Technical logs are also processed for security purposes and to keep the service running.
3. Privacy of answers within the couple
Each partner answers the questions separately and does not see the other's answers item by item. Neither the free report nor the Premium one reveals individual answers — both partners have access only to the couple's shared report: the final scores, interpretations and recommendations. This is a fundamental rule of the service, and it cannot be switched off at the request of one of the partners.
4. Storage and retention
- The result and the couple's data are available through a personal token link that is valid for 180 days from the last time it was opened and is extended every time it is opened. If the link is not opened for a long time, access through it expires.
- The invitation link for your partner is valid for 14 days from the moment it is created, after which it becomes invalid.
- Deletion on request. You can at any time request deletion of the data on your side (and, where both partners agree, of the couple's data as a whole) by writing to the support address.
- Technical logs are kept for a limited time, as long as needed for security and diagnostics, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
We apply reasonable organisational and technical protection measures: access to results only through token links, storage of email as a hash and in encrypted form (the address is not kept in the database in plain text), encryption of the connection (HTTPS), and restricted access to the infrastructure.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. Data may be passed only to a limited number of service providers:
- Payment providers — process Premium payments (cards, cryptocurrency, Telegram Stars). You enter the payment details on their side; all we get back is the status of the payment. If the chosen payment method requires the buyer's address (for example, a card payment through lava.top), we pass the payer's email to the provider — it is needed to issue the invoice and send the receipt. Only the payer's own address is passed; the other partner's address is never put on the invoice.
- AI model providers (LLM) — receive the data needed to generate the text of the report. Name and email are not passed; what is passed is anonymised answers and the couple's aggregate scores.
- Hosting and infrastructure — the servers the service runs on and where the database is stored.
Data may also be disclosed where required by law or by a lawful request from an authorised body.
6. Cookies and analytics
Essential (technical) cookies — httpOnly sessions needed so that you do not lose your progress in the test and your access to the result. They are necessary for the service to work and are always set.
Analytics cookies are set only with your consent — we ask for it with a banner on your first visit. Without consent, analytics runs without cookies and without storing identifiers between visits. Analytics is kept anonymised — based on aggregated events (for example, “test started”, “test completed”), without the content of your answers; the data is processed in the EU (PostHog, Frankfurt). There are no third-party advertising cookies. You can change your choice by clearing the site data in your browser — the banner will appear again.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- obtain information about the data we process about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion of your data (the “right to be forgotten”);
- withdraw your consent to processing.
There are no accounts and no passwords in the service, so there are two ways to confirm that a request is being sent by the owner of the data:
- Your personal link to the report (an address of the form
/r/…that you received right after the test) — everyone who has taken the test has it, and it is sufficient confirmation. Attach it to your email to support@lovescore.love. - Email — only if you saved one on your report page. In that case it is enough to write to us from that address.
If you have lost your personal link and never left an email, we cannot identify you: there is not a single marker in the database that would tie a record to you — a direct consequence of the fact that we collect a minimum of data. In that situation, write to us: we will explain what data is stored at all and suggest what else can be checked, but we will not be able to hand over or delete a particular record without proof that it is yours. The couple's data is deleted by itself in any case: a personal link stops working after 180 days without being opened, and an unfinished couple is marked as abandoned after 28 days.
Requests are handled within a reasonable time, as a rule within 30 days. Deletion on request covers your side of the data; the couple's data as a whole is deleted where both partners agree.
8. Children under 18
The service is not intended for people under 18, and we deliberately do not collect their data. Age is confirmed by your own representation: before starting the test you have to tick that you are 18 or older. We deliberately do not ask for a date of birth and do not store one — the fact of the confirmation is enough to allow access to the service, and we have no need for extra data about you. If you become aware that a minor has taken the test, tell us — the data concerned will be deleted.
9. Changes to the Policy
We may update the Policy as the service develops or as legal requirements change. A new revision takes effect from the moment it is published on this page. We will try to give additional notice of material changes in the service interface.
