hybrid: level + match

Responsibility is dependability in shared life: promises kept, a fair share of everyday chores, a real part in financial decisions, and a willingness to plan further ahead than a month. A hybrid dimension: both the overall level of contribution and its balance between partners matter.

The dimension gathers different forms of contribution to a life together: keeping your word even when circumstances have changed; taking on an honest share of everyday tasks; taking part in decisions about money; planning a joint future instead of living only in the present day.

Why the hybrid type: level comes first — the more dependable both partners are, the better. But a persistent imbalance of contribution is a separate, well-known source of resentment that doesn't reduce to an average: a couple where one carries everything while the other is merely 'present' works differently from a couple with an even contribution at the same total effort.

How it shows up in a couple

• Agreements can be leaned on: they don't get cancelled retroactively when circumstances change.
• Chores are split so that no one feels like the relationship's only caretaker.
• Big purchases and the shared budget are discussed together, not presented as a done deal.
• Plans six months ahead are a normal part of conversation, not a source of panic.

How LoveScore measures it

A hybrid dimension: roughly three quarters of the couple score is set by the overall level of dependability (with extra weight on the lower result), and the rest by how balanced the partners' contributions are. That's how the formula tells a couple with an even split of duties from a couple with the same 'average' where everything rests on one person.
