Partner Responsiveness

level: higher is better not part of the Love Score

Partner Responsiveness is how attentive and engaged a person sees their partner to be: whether they truly listen, factor in feelings, and notice that something's wrong without being prompted. It's the only one of the nine dimensions that doesn't go into the overall Love Score.

This scale has a special angle: answering its questions, you describe not yourself but your partner. Your score is their responsiveness through your eyes, and their score is your responsiveness through theirs. Comparing the two numbers head-on is pointless: they are about different people.

The dimension's main value is in setting viewpoints side by side: how a person rates their own engagement (through empathy, communication, maturity) is compared with how their partner sees it. A match confirms the self-perception; a gap points either to a blind spot — you consider yourself more attentive than it feels to the person next to you — or to underrating yourself, when your partner values your engagement higher than you do.

How LoveScore measures it

This scale stays out of the overall Love Score — deliberately: it's one partner's answers about the other, and adding it to the formula would double one person's contribution to the couple's score. The score itself is computed as a 'level', and the dimension works in concert with the others: the report compares each person's self-assessment with how their partner sees their engagement.

The wording of the test questions isn't published here: questions read in advance skew the answers — and with them, the couple's report.

Related archetypes

This dimension has no archetype of its own: partner archetypes are built on the scales that count toward the Love Score, while Partner Responsiveness works as a separate storyline of the report.
