Trust

level: higher is better

Trust is confidence in your partner's honesty and goodwill: believing they tell you the truth about what matters and keep your interests in mind even when you're not around. In LoveScore it's a 'level' dimension: the higher trust is for both of you, the better for the couple.

The dimension rests on three things: faith in your partner's honesty (they don't embellish and don't leave out what matters), willingness to share your most unguarded self with them, and calmly relying on their word without the habit of double-checking everything.

Just as important is what doesn't belong here: anxiety when your partner is away, and the urge to control who they talk to — that's a separate dimension, Peace of Mind. LoveScore keeps trust and jealousy on different scales, because you can believe someone and still feel anxious — and the other way around.

Trust is a 'level' dimension because matching low trust isn't 'compatibility in distrust' — it's a deficit in both partners. There is no configuration here in which a couple is equally well off with a high value and a low one.

How it shows up in a couple

How LoveScore measures it

A 'level' dimension: higher is better. Each partner gets their own 0–100 score, and the two are then combined into a couple score, with the lower of the two results weighing more than it would in a simple average: a couple where only one partner trusts won't get the same score as a couple with even mutual trust. Together with Communication, this is one of the weightiest dimensions in the Love Score formula.

The wording of the test questions isn't published here: questions read in advance skew the answers — and with them, the couple's report.
